Andy Wooler

We’re delighted to announce that plans are coming together nicely for this year’s Bitburg trip and that Andy Wooler has been appointed as conductor for this year.

For those of you who don’t know Andy, he comes with a wealth of experience having spent many years as a military musician with the Band of 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment. He studied at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall and as well as working as a professional musician he also conducted Mid Sussex Brass and Uckfield Concert Brass where he was mentored by Ken Dennison.

He was the first pupil Tim Lord taught from scratch and is a veteran of many Bitburg trips from days gone by!

He lives in Germany where he is a trumpeter with the Bayer Symphoniker and Cologne Concert Brass where he also conducts the Academy Band
